Is the initial consultation really free?

Yes. Free means free — no charge, no obligation, no high-pressure sales. We come to your home anywhere in Bucks, Montgomery, Philadelphia, or Delaware Counties, measure the space, discuss your goals, and share initial ideas. If you decide not to move forward for any reason, you owe us nothing.

How quickly can you schedule a consultation?

Typically within 5-7 business days from your initial contact. During busy remodeling seasons (spring and early summer), it may extend to 10-14 days. We’ll confirm the exact schedule when you reach out and prioritize based on your project timeline.

What areas do you serve?

We serve four Pennsylvania counties: Bucks, Montgomery, Philadelphia, and Delaware. This includes Doylestown, Newtown, Yardley, King of Prussia, Ambler, Blue Bell, Center City, Chestnut Hill, Media, Wayne, and surrounding areas. If you’re outside these counties, contact us anyway — we occasionally take projects in adjacent areas.

Do you charge for design work upfront?

The initial consultation and preliminary sketches are free. If you decide to move forward with detailed 3D design and full material specifications, we’ll set up a design agreement — the cost of which is typically credited toward your project when you proceed to construction. Full details are explained during your consultation.

What information should I have ready before the consultation?

Nothing is required — but if you have inspiration photos, Pinterest boards, or rough measurements handy, they help. We’ll bring everything else. If you have specific brand or material preferences (like Wolf appliances or Kohler fixtures), mention them so we can plan around them from the start.

Do you offer virtual or video consultations?

Yes, we can start with a video consultation via Zoom or FaceTime if you prefer. However, for accurate pricing and design, an in-home visit is essential — measurements, existing conditions, ceiling heights, and site logistics can’t be assessed remotely. The in-home visit is still completely free.

Can I visit your studio to see samples?

Yes. Our design studio is in Ottsville, PA (1751 Mink Rd) — about 45 minutes north of Philadelphia. We recommend calling ahead to schedule your visit so we can prepare relevant samples and cabinetry displays based on your project interests. Hours: Mon-Fri 8AM-6PM, Saturday 9AM-2PM.

How do I contact you if PlanBuild already built my kitchen or bath?

For warranty questions or service on existing PlanBuild projects, call (215) 802-4072 or email hello@planbuildus.com — mention your project name and address so we can pull your file. Warranty service requests are prioritized separately from new consultation inquiries.
